O peito \u00e9 ferrugem e apresenta largas estrias verticais. O ventre e as pernas s\u00e3o brancos, com barrado ferrug\u00edneo. A base da cauda \u00e9 branca, mas vai se tornando barrada em dire\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e0 extremidade. Existem duas listras negras bem vis\u00edveis na extremidade da cauda. Quando em voo, suas asas s\u00e3o largas e de comprimento m\u00e9dio. A colora\u00e7\u00e3o b\u00e1sica da parte inferior das asas \u00e9 o bege estriado com finas listras escuras. Adults, on the other hand, have a black beak tip with a yellowish base; the head and upper part of the wings are brownish, but turn gray as the bird matures. The chest is rust and has wide vertical striations. The belly and legs are white, barred with rust. The base of the tail is white, but it becomes barred towards the end. There are two clearly visible black stripes at the end of the tail. When in flight, its wings are broad and of medium length. The basic coloring of the underside of the wings is striated beige with thin dark stripes.<\/p>\n Dark curved beak with yellow cere. The iris is clear. The tarsi and feet are yellow and have dark claws. It is generalist in food, as it consumes from insects to birds and lizards.
