Vivem em arbustos e cerrados pr\u00f3ximos a esses ambientes, sempre na\u00a0ca\u00e7a de invertebrados, em especial insetos. Alimenta-se tamb\u00e9m de frutos. Pode tanto estar em bandos pr\u00f3prios, como associado a outras esp\u00e9cies. Juvenile females and males do not have it. In the latter, the beak gradually acquires its final color. In males, black dominates the plumage of the body, with reddish tones on the front. The red stands out according to the lighting of the place and increases in intensity in birds basking in the sun. They live in shrubs and savannas close to these environments, always hunting invertebrates, especially insects. It also feeds on fruits. It can either be in its own flocks or associated with other species.
