Robust beak. Rounded wings and an elongated tail, which ends in broad, paired feathers. Coloration varies in shades of brown, tan and white, with narrow white bands on the nape, mantle and tail. Dark brown tones with whitish, wide edges on the wings.<\/p>\n They live in pairs and gather in large groups during the breeding season. They can be found on the banks of rivers and lakes, mangroves and swamps.
