Vivem em grupos de at\u00e9 7 indiv\u00edduos, habitando florestas \u00famidas, semi-\u00famidas, de galeria, at\u00e9 400 metros. The difference between males and females is size, with the female being larger than the male. The plumage of the neck, chest and belly is red with a blue border. Due to its silhouette, in which the topknot stands out, it can be confused with a hawk. It feeds on palm fruit, flowers and seeds. They live in groups of up to 7 individuals, inhabiting humid, semi-humid, gallery forests, up to 400 meters.
