O manto e urop\u00edgio s\u00e3o verde-oliva. As asas s\u00e3o pretas e apresentam duas barras alares amarelas e suas r\u00eamiges tamb\u00e9m s\u00e3o marginadas de amarelo. A cauda \u00e9 preta. O peito, ventre e crisso s\u00e3o de colora\u00e7\u00e3o amarelo brilhante. A \u00edris \u00e9 marrom escuro, o bico \u00e9 preto. Tarsos e p\u00e9s s\u00e3o cinza escuro, quase pretos. \u00c9 comum nas copas de matas de terra firme e de v\u00e1rzea, aparecendo mais nas bordas. The dominant colors of this bird’s plumage are black, yellow and green. It has a black crown and sides of the head, with a wide yellow post-ocular eyebrow that originates just behind the eye and runs towards the back of the neck. The mantle and rump are olive green. The wings are black and have two yellow wing bars and their wings are also bordered in yellow. The tail is black. The chest, belly and crissus are bright yellow. The iris is dark brown, the beak is black. Tarsi and feet are dark gray, almost black. It is common in the canopies of terra firme and lowland forests, appearing more at the edges.
