The plumage of the back, wings and rump is brown. Flight feathers, primary remiges, are dark. Head, throat, chest and nape are olive green. It has a gray stain on the earphones. Some long, tapering feathers give rise to a small olive green crest on the nape of the neck. The belly, flanks, shorts and crest are brown. The side braces are yellow and the center braces are olive green. It has a dark bill with an orange tip and the base of the mandible with a wide pink stripe. Eyes, tarsi and feet are dark. They eat practically everything, but prefer fruits and seeds. They have been seen looting other species’ nests and eating their young. It is common in the canopy of humid terra firme forests, forest edges, and adjacent clearings with tall trees. A plumagem do dorso, asas e urop\u00edgio \u00e9 castanha. As penas de voo, r\u00eamiges prim\u00e1rias, s\u00e3o escuras. Cabe\u00e7a, garganta peito e nuca s\u00e3o verde oliva. Apresenta uma mancha cinzenta nas auriculares. Algumas penas longas e afiladas d\u00e3o origem a uma pequena crista na nuca verde oliva. O ventre, flancos, cal\u00e7\u00f5es e crisso s\u00e3o castanhos. As retrizes laterais s\u00e3o amarelas e as retrizes centrais s\u00e3o verde oliva. Apresenta bico escuro com a ponta alaranjada e a base da mand\u00edbula com larga faixa rosa. Olhos, tarsos e p\u00e9s s\u00e3o escuros. Comem praticamente de tudo, mas preferem frutos e sementes. J\u00e1 foram vistos saqueando ninhos de outras esp\u00e9cies e comendo seus filhotes. \u00c9 comum na copa de florestas \u00famidas de terra firme, bordas de florestas e clareiras adjacentes com \u00e1rvores altas. Vive em grandes bandos, \u00e0s vezes junto ao japu ou ao japu-verde.<\/p>\n
